LATEST ON Covid business support grants & Tier 2/3 payments – Oswestry, Jan 2021

We wanted to quickly update you about previous and new Covid support grants which Shropshire Council are working very hard to process through.

On Tier 2/3 grants, Shropshire Council have contacted businesses within the eligible sectors that had been approved from the November national scheme to complete a verification before Christmas. Those that have responded to the council will be processed for payment shortly.

* If you have yet to respond, please do as soon as possible as further payments cannot be completed without this verification (which confirms eligibility for either the open or closed categorisation of the grant.)

As for recent government announcements, more information is being provided to Shropshire Council tomorrow (7th Jan 2021) around the proposed extended funds. It is hoped that this payment will be streamlined, so that businesses who have already been approved will not be required to apply again
