The Little Mall update on Cross Street, Oswestry from DPA

Update from DPA (Design & planning Associates), Oswestry on Little Mall

“It has been a while since we published a post on the Little Mall Scheme, 5-9 Cross Street, Oswestry. We have been working hard behind the scenes together with the Oswestry High Street Heritage Action Zone team on the grant applications for the re-purposing of an empty building. Oswestry will see 5-9 Cross, formally Top Man, Dorothy Perkins, and a card shop to name but a few, transformed into residential apartments above the shops and a range of new shopfronts that will improve the ambience of the town’s street scene.

“The HAZ grant applications have been a challenging process with much dialogue with English Heritage and the Oswestry High Street HAZ team. We received news last week that the HAZ grant applications were successful, much to the delight of our client and team DPA. Works will be commencing on site in early 2022 and we take this opportunity to thanks English Heritage and the Oswestry High Street HAZ team for their continued support. We look forward to seeing other period buildings taking advantage of the Oswestry High Street HAZ grant scheme and seeing our town’s tourism and retail activity grow.”
