It was fantastic to see hundreds of people in town to enjoy the annual free Food and Drink Festival this weekend, with the best of food and drink on offer.
Market stalls lined Cross Street, Bailey Street and Bailey Head, filled with tempting treats. It was the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore some of the best local and regional products. From homemade jams and baked goods, to hog roast, wood fired Calzones and crepes.
The Cambrian Heritage Railway also hosted a beer festival over the two days with the Stonehouse Brewery attending, which tied in perfectly.
The food festival is another amazing way to not only promote the local produce but also to promote Oswestry as a thriving market town to the local and regional areas, as well as on a national platform.
