The Bank Holiday weekend saw the successful return of the Oswestry Balloon Carnival.

On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August 2019, Oswestry saw the return of a Carnival with a difference with the Oswestry Balloon Carnival returning to the town, with over 15,000 people in attendance over the weekend.

Over 30 hot air balloons took to the air from Cae Glas Park over the weekend, including an Emoji, a cube, a koala and a cheetah.

The event, as a whole was a great success for the town and has really helped to put Oswestry on the map, with visitors attending from all over the UK.

There was something for all the family with live music, performers, food stalls, novelty stalls, fun fair rides and entertainers, both in the park and through the town.

This year our spectacular Night Glow took place on Saturday evening with a Greatest Show theme.

The collaborated efforts of Linstrand, Oswestry Town Council, Oswestry BID and Nightingale House saw approximately £30,000 raised for the hospice.
