Many of Oswestry’s DIY businesses have been trading through COVID in a delivery/takeaway fashion, but more are now starting to open up, whilst following government guidelines.
We wanted to remind everyone of all the amazing businesses we have in Oswestry that can help them. Especially those on our Industrial Estates. We know many people have been catching up on DIY jobs around their homes and gardens to keep themselves busy. This was the main reason for producing this great little video, as it showcases what Oswestry has to offer. Sometimes we all forget what is right on our doorstep.
This is how we do DIY in Oswestry…….

As more shops, businesses and the hospitality sector prepare to open, Oswestry BID has been supporting the businesses by offering free COVID awareness training to BID levy payers. The BID has also been ensuring that all our businesses are aware of what government funding is out there and encouraging those businesses eligible to make their applications. We have helped many of them through this process and will continue to offer this support in the coming months.
Oswestry BID is also working with Shropshire Council and Oswestry Town Council to consider the best ways forward for businesses and pedestrians to navigate their way around our town in the coming months. All involved have been making sure that we can observe government social distancing guidelines wherever possible. We believe that this will make shoppers feel safe in Oswestry and will encourage people back to our high street to support all our wonderful local businesses, that are working so hard to come through these challenging times.
