Oswestry is an ancient market town on the English-Welsh border with outstanding independent shops, markets and superb eateries, all in a historic setting.
In 2023, Oswestry was thrilled to be designated "BEST LARGE TOWN IN BRITAIN" at the national BRITAIN IN BLOOM awards.
This was followed up in the 2025 Awards, when Oswestry has achieved Gold in the “Best Large Town” category, with Cae Glas Park also receiving Gold in the 2025 Park Awards. Chair Natalie Bainbridge was also honoured with the “Services to Heart of England In Bloom Award” for her outstanding leadership of Oswestry In Bloom.
It was also granted a COACH FRIENDLY TOWN by the Conference of Passenger Transport (CPT) making it an ideal destination for day visitors from the region and beyond.
